Neck Pain
Neck pain is very common and may occur due to the following reasons:
After an injury such as whiplash, due to sustained postures such as regular use of a computer, or as a result of wear and tear. Sometimes pain in the shoulder or arm and hand maybe referred symptoms coming from the neck.
In addition, headaches are often due to problems with the neck which may be as a result of pain, stiffness or muscle tension in the neck and surrounding areas.
At Storrington Physiotherapy Clinic we can identify whether your neck problems are due to muscle, joint or nerves causing the problem or a combination of all three.
Back Pain
Back pain is very common and can be very disabling as well as painful. Sometimes this can be a localised problem in the lower bones of the spine (vertebra) but often it can refer pain into the hip or the leg.
At Storrington Physiotherapy Clinic we can identify whether back pain is as a result of disc problems, joint stiffness, muscle weakness or irritated nerves, or a combination of the above.
Sports Injuries
This includes injury management, acute care, treatment and rehabilitation.
Whatever the sport and whether the injuries are due to sprains, strains or bruising, early intervention will speed up recovery and minimise tissue damage enabling a quicker return to sporting activities. Treatment is also beneficial for long-standing and overuse problems.
Joint Problems/Arthritis
Joints can be a common cause of pain. This may be caused by injury, wear and tear, overuse or stiffness.
At Storrington Physiotherapy Clinic we can identify whether the problem is with the joint or if it is due to a cartilage, ligament or muscle problem.
Post-Operative Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy is often essential in post-operative rehabilitation to regain movement, strength and function. Surgical outcomes, particularly in the short term, are often significantly worse in those patients who do not have regular physiotherapy after their operation.
At Storrington Physiotherapy Clinic, we routinely rehabilitate clients from the very early post-operative phase, often within days of the surgery, through to the end phases of the rehabilitation which may be months later.
Other Common Conditions
We also treat many other conditions involving ligaments, tendons and muscles such as tennis elbow, Achilles problems, shoulder pain and all other types of joint and muscle sprains and strains.
