How does the assessment and treatment service work?
The clinic is open for Face to Face appointments, however, we are also able to undertake appointments by telephone, FaceTime or Zoom if needed.
If you require an online or virtual consultation, we will ask you a series of questions in relation to your current symptoms and how this is affecting you. We will want to know what your concerns are and what it is that you need from our consultation. From this information we will give you a provisional diagnosis.
We will agree with you a treatment plan to help you manage and improve your symptoms. If needed, exercises will be demonstrated to you as part of the consultation and we will check that you are undertaking them correctly. These exercises can then be emailed across to you if required.
Costs
The cost for these sessions are £45.00.
Payment for virtual sessions is required by BACS transfer.
BUPA and AXA have announced that they will cover the costs of all virtual consultations. If you are with another insurance companies, please contact them to see if you are covered.
Clothing
We ask that you wear suitable appropriate comfortable clothing for all virtual sessions. Firstly this is for your own comfort and secondly, so that we can see how your body is moving and so we can ensure we teach your rehabilitation exercises as effectively as possible. If you have low back pain or pain in your lower limbs we would suggest shorts where possible and if it is a problem with the neck, upper back or lower back a vest top. We will respect your dignity at all times.
If you are unsure whether a virtual or face to face appointment is needed, please phone us on 01903 743538.
